I don't want to see her smoking - I want to see her peeing!
Gorgeous model. Bring her back, next time with better lighting and focus.
Perfect young lady. Love her tender open wings! So cute and adorable!
Very cute girl
I don't mind the smoking at all. It's perfectly natural and common. Not everyone dies from smoking! Anyway sexy shoot.
Enough people do die from smoking ~ or rather, diseases directly caused by the carcinogens in cigarette smoking ~ that we know indisputably it is an inherently hazardous activity.
I am not demeaning anyone who smokes, which would be incredibly hypocritical of me, as I smoked for more than 7 years and used chewing tobacco for three times that long.
All I am saying is ~ portraying scientifically proven inherently hazardous and deadly activities is not what I think of as erotica. Erotica is about celebrating life and health, not celebrating things that destroy health.
It's kind of an unfair tease to shoot a model on the toilet and not shoot her peeing. From my perspective of course.
And I really think that cigarettes and smoking have no place in modern erotica, now that we know how invariably prematurely aging and disease causing smoking is.
Now don't get me wrong: we're all adults: we all know that a lot of these models and photographers smoke. I'm not saying they shouldn't be allowed to smoke. I don't see why they should be photographed smoking though, and implicitly condoning behavior that is not only suspected to be dangerous, but is absolutely solidly scientifically proven to be medically dangerous and life-shortening.
In other words: sure, this is a kink site. But disease and fatality causing activity is not sexy or kinky, IMO.
The thing about any kink is that we will all draw the line in a different place. For example, to me, peeing in a wood (like lovely Bree Haze) or a perilous setting (Mira) is sexy, peeing in a bathroom is not! I realize that might be illogical, but it's just how I feel about it. Smoking is an unhealthy habit but so are many of the things real people do... I know we've had this discussion loads of times before but I still don't know where I stand on it...
I don't think logic has anything to do with it, Rose, a given activity either strikes you as sexy/kinky, or it fails to. (:
Sorry fer not with you on this one as doing things that are perceived as socially bad or 'going against the grain' is often part of being sexy, which is a main emphasis of TLE. AS to the disease issue, I counter your argument on the health grounds as we all know how harmful the many STDs out there are and yet here we are contemplating that very thing. It's the risk one is prepared to take.
Fozzinsky, the way I see it, erotica is about celebrating life and life's greatest pleasures, those pleasures that revolve around sharing our bodies and our sexuality and our intimacy with others.
As such, depictions of sex are erotica when done tastefully and non-exploitatively. Whereas, engaging in inherently risky, dangerous, fatal activities is the opposite: I believe the Freudians would have put it as something like "Thanatos" rather than "Eros," Thanatos being the death-drive and Eros being the life-drive.
STDs are a danger of unprotected sex but they are not an inherent part of smart, safe sexuality. Whereas, lung diseases such as the cancer that killed my ex's father very painfully and very young are an inherent danger of smoking.
Certainly, certain individuals such as my grandmother, who smoked from age 14 until her death at age 87 don't die young because of their smoking. However, my grandmother did suffer five years of severe respiratory disease and cardiovascular disease and dementia, all of which are aggravated by longterm smoking. Now I very much doubt that my grandmother would still be with us today if she hadn't chain smoked all those years, but I am certain she (and my grandfather, who was daily subjected to her secondhand smoke) would have shared another decade of vigorous health with all her loved ones had she never picked up the habit.
Again, let me stress that, I have no illusions. I know smoking is a very popular habit in the areas where most of these models come from. I know most of them smoke, as do most of the artists, probably. I am not so stupid as to insist that the models cannot smoke.
I just don't want to see them smoke. It's the antithesis of erotica for me. It has a lot to do with my personal history, but even if I didn't have that history, just knowing how dangerous and fatal smoking is I would not envision smoking as ever being the least bit erotic.
Thanks for sharing your insight and your POV though.
Odara, where have you been all my life?! I don't really care for bathroom sets or smoking sets, but Odara is so stunning she has my full attention. Beautiful face, incredible body, and that white lingerie looks great on her! :-)
